How I work

Bridging the execution gap

Manufacturing bottlenecks are not only engineering challenges. They are also failures of good communication.

The technical solutions usually already exist on the factory floor. The real challenge is aligning them with Western brand expectations.

My career has been intentionally tailored to solve this exact friction point. Where I excel is acting as your high-fidelity bridge: translating complex technical specifications into the local linguistic and cultural context so that execution happens seamlessly, correctly, and on time.

Main traits

An engineer who happens to love the outdoors

01 — Expertise

A solid technical expertise

I am an engineer by training who happens to love the outdoors, meaning I look at sports gear through a lens of quality, scalability, and efficiency, not just hobbyist enthusiasm. Holding a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, my approach to hardware development is inherently structured, data-driven, and systematic.

My technical foundation was built directly within high-consequence industries, managing end-to-end development for elite global brands like LOOK Cycle, DT Swiss, and SHL Medical (a world-class market leader in advanced drug delivery systems). My hands-on manufacturing expertise spans a comprehensive suite of industrial processes.

02 — On the ground

Business professionalism and work ethic

Established in Taiwan since 2015, I have spent more than a decade on the ground working directly with local Taiwanese and Chinese suppliers. Over the years, I have deeply immersed myself in the local business culture and dedicated the effort required to become completely fluent in Mandarin.

I firmly believe this linguistic and cultural fluency is non-negotiable for building genuine connection, mutual respect, and absolute trust with local factory management.

03 — Perspective

A lifelong outdoor enthusiast

Living and working in Taiwan is not a compromise for me, it is the ideal ecosystem to combine a passion for the outdoors with world-class, high-end manufacturing. Being based here has allowed me to deeply pursue intense outdoor disciplines that I practice frequently: technical scuba diving and macrophotography, mountaineering across Taiwan's 3,000+ meter peaks, and endurance cycling across the island.

This active lifestyle ensures that I maintain a deep, instinctual sensitivity to the products I help industrialize. I don't just look at hardware on a computer screen. I understand how equipment must perform when subjected to real-world environmental stress, fatigue, and extreme conditions. This critical user perspective allows me to bridge the gap between abstract engineering data and the uncompromising safety, tactile feel, and performance expected by the end consumer.
